  • Lead Poisoning!

everyone please check how safe your cosmetics are-

i just got lead poisoning from the new lipstick i bought today.

it's a good thing i was at my healthcare job and a lady gave me

charcoal pills to help get rid of these awful toxins.

    i also joined the

    campaign for safe cosmetics

    http://action.safecosmetics.org/action/index.asp?step=2&item=14281

    safe cosmetics database

the lipstick brand i bought was Loreal color riche in Volcanic.

It actually does not have a lot of lead as compared to the "True Red"

lipcolor they have but it was enough to make me feel like i was dying.

i will post more abot my adverse reactions to lead poisoning later on

as i am still working and still feel very faint.

fortunately my body is fighting very hard and well.

Thanks so much for this info! My 3yo just ate a whole brand new tube of Revlon lipstick. The lead content did cross my mind...but I didn't know where to turn for help. I thought of poison control, I wonder if they have cosmetics? They did have Kerasol foot cream (he ate that last month), so I am throwing tons of stuff away. It's just not safe to have some of this stuff lying around.

@ILoveObento - isnt it ridiculous though that half the stuff we ingest or just put on our

    bodies might kill us???

    what the hell?
